Mount Loweth is a 1420 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . With a snow cap and steep cliffs on the north flank, it rises 10 km east-northeast of the Anderson Dome at the eastern end of the Jones Mountains .
Participants in a University of Minnesota expedition to the Jones Mountains (1960–1961) mapped and named him. Namesake is Hugh Fawcett Loweth (1922–2012), a government official in the US Office of Management and Budget , who was involved in the development and supervision of scientific programs in Antarctica .
