Mount Lubbock is a 1630 m high mountain on the Borchgrevink coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises just north of Cape Jones on the southern tip of the Daniell Peninsula .
It was discovered in January 1841 by the British polar explorer James Clark Ross on his Antarctic expedition (1839–1843). Ross named him after John William Lubbock (1803-1865), Treasurer of the Royal Society .
