Mount McElroy is a 1670 m high and prominent mountain in Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises at the western end of the Hutton Mountains .
Scientists from the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) discovered it. Expedition leader Finn Ronne named him after Theodor Roosevelt McElroy (1904–1963), who had provided radio equipment for the research trip.
