Mount McKercher is a 2230 m high mountain on the eastern edge of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises in the Queen Maud Mountains on the east side of the Scott Glacier at the confluence of the Griffith Glacier .
The geological team around Quin Blackburn (1900-1981) discovered the mountain in December 1934 during the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . It is named after Hazel F. McKercher (1889–1972), Byrd's secretary on this research trip.
