Mount McKibben is a 880 m high mountain on the Orville coast of West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 8 km southwest of Hansen Inlet and 5 km southeast of McCaw Ridge .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy in the years from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names him named in 1968 by L. D. McKibben, the 1963 wintering team at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station had heard .
