Mount Nero is a 2520 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Usarp Mountains it overlooks the west face of the Daniels Range 5 km north of Forsythe Bluff .
The area was mapped through the United States Geological Survey and aerial photography from the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1970 after Leonard L. Nero (* 1947), biologist of the United States Antarctic Research Program at McMurdo Station from 1967 to 1968.
