Mount Petinos is a 500 m high mountain in the northwest of Shepard Island off the Hobbs coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises 1.5 km east-southeast of Worley Point .
Its mapping took place on February 4, 1962 from aboard the icebreaker USS Glacier . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1962 after Lieutenant Frank Petinos (1935-1996), the ship's first officer.
