Mount Pollock is a 2640 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . Its peak rises in the middle of the Recoil Glacier immediately south of the Archambault Ridge in the Deep Freeze Range .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after the construction electrician Herbert William Pollock (1929-2008) of the US Navy, the 1962 and 1967 worked on the McMurdo station .
