Mount Rossman is a prominent, wedge-shaped and 1,450 m high mountain in the Ellsworth Mountains of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Heritage Range, it looms between the Henderson Glacier in the south and the Union Glacier in the north at the northern end of the Enterprise Hills .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Rossman W. Smith, ionospheric physicist at Eights Station in 1965 and 1967 head of the Byrd station .
