Mount Sabine is a 3719 m high, striking and relatively snow-free mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Admiralty Mountains, it rises between the head ends of the Murray and Burnette glaciers .
It was discovered on January 15, 1841 during the Antarctic expedition (1839-1843) of the British polar explorer James Clark Ross . This named him after the Irish astronomer Edward Sabine (1788-1883), Secretary of the Royal Society and supporter of this research trip .
