Mount Showers is a 1050 m high mountain on the Black Coast of West Antarctic Palmerland . It rises 21 km southwest of Cape MacDonald on the Condor Peninsula .
The United States Geological Survey made a mapping in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1976 after the marine biologist William James Showers, who worked at Palmer Station as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program in 1975 .
