Mount Stierer is a 1080 m high mountain in Victoria Land , East Antarctica . In the Prince Albert Mountains it rises 2.5 km north-northeast of Mount Bellingshausen .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Byron A. Stierer (1937–1962), Airman First Class of the United States Air Force and member of the winter team at McMurdo Station in 1962.
