The Mount Sundbeck is a 3030 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises 6 km southeast of Mount Stubberud from a ridge that extends from the northern Nilsen Plateau in the Queen Maud Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy in the years from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1967 named the mountain after Knut Sundbeck (1883-1967), engineer of the Fram in Antarctic Expedition ( 1910–1912) by the Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen . The committee referred to the Amundsen named, but not assignable mountain Mount K. Sundbeck .
