Mount Swartley is a 998 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Allegheny Mountains of the Ford Ranges, it rises 1.5 km north-northeast of Mount Darling .
Scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered it during an overflight. It is named after Stanley Simpson Swartley (1884–1963), professor of English at Allegheny College in Meadville , Pennsylvania , alma mater of the American Antarctic explorer Paul Siple , who headed West Base for the research trip.
