Mount Tenney is a 1700 m high mountain in Palmerland . It rises 15 km northwest of Mount Hyatt and west of the Latady Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after the engineer Philip J. Tenney, who between 1967 and 1968 at the crossing of the Queen Maud Lands from Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station .
