Mount Thor is a striking and 2000 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range, it looms south of the Labyrinth plateau .
Participants in a 1958 to 1959 campaign as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions named him after the god Thor from Germanic mythology .
