Mount Uritorco ( Spanish Cerro Uritorco ) is a mountain on Deception Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It towers over the southern part of Telephone Ridge .
The name of the mountain appears for the first time on an Argentine map from 1956. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the Spanish name in 1965 in an adapted partial translation into English. The further naming background has not been passed down.
