Mount Van Buren is a prominent 2865 m high mountain in Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 5 km north-northwest of Mount Jackson on the east side of the Dyer Plateau .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after the American politician Martin Van Buren (1782–1862), President of the United States from 1837 to 1841.
