Mount Whewell is a massive and 2945 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Admiralty Mountains, it rises between the mouths of the Ironside and Honeycomb glaciers .
The British polar explorer James Clark Ross named him after his sighting on January 15, 1841 after the British philosopher and science historian William Whewell (1794–1866).
