Mount Woods is a non-iced, ridge-like and 1170 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the central Patuxent Range of the Pensacola Mountains, it rises 7 km northeast of the O'Connell-Nunatak .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Clifford R. Woods Jr., Hospital Corpsman at Palmer Station in Antarctica Winter 1967.
