Mountain Attack
Mountain Attack ( German mountain riff ) is the name of an annual Austrian racing competition in ski mountaineering near Saalbach . The competition was held for the first time in 1999 and is now known beyond Austria's national borders. The previous participants came from a total of 15 nations.
The goal is to conquer a total of seven peaks and more than 3,000 meters of altitude , which are divided into ascents and descents, across the Glemmtal . There are six racing classes, a short tour route for male and female participants and two marathon ratings on the long route, with the age group from 45 years being rated separately. Start and finish is the village square of Saalbach.

The winners have been named Mountain Man since 2004 .
