Andreas Ringhofer
Andreas "Ringo" Ringhofer (born December 19, 1970 in Schladming ) is an Austrian ski mountaineer , cross-country skier , cyclist, mountain runner and marathon runner .
Life
Ringhofer, who has years of successful ski mountaineers is was 12 years member of the Austrian national team in cross-country skiing and is also a successful cyclist and runner. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 , he finished sixth in the 4 × 10 km relay with Schwarz , Stadlober and Marent , reached 18th place in the pursuit at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville and took part in several World Cup races. In mountain running he took part in the International Mountain Running Grand Prix in Kitzbühel in 1989, 1990 and 2003.
In ski mountaineering he has held the men's course record at the Hochwurzen mountain run since 2004 with a time of 48: 34.1 minutes, and at the Champ Or Cramp since 2006 with 1h 16min 56sec. Beginning in autumn 2004, health restrictions led to reduced performance. Nevertheless, he was able to continue to successfully participate in competitions through enormous effort, among other things he started in 2005 as defending champion in the Mountain Attack with three broken ribs and other injuries. Since being set up by ASKIMO , he has been a member of the Austrian national team in competitive ski mountaineering .
He lives in Schladming , is married and has a daughter. Professionally, he is a police officer .
