Mountain Throne is a German heavy metal and epic doom band from Baden-Baden that was founded in 2009.

history

The band was founded in 2009 by the guitarist Andreas "A." Taller and the drummer Jochen "J." Müller. In 2010 the first EP Serpent's Heathland followed via Cyclone Empire , after which the band consisted of the singer F. and the bassist H. in addition to these two. In October 2011 the band played at the sixth Hammer of Doom Festival in Würzburg . At the end of 2013, the debut album Stormcoven followed via Cyclone Empire .

style

According to guitarist Taller in the rock-hard interview, the band was heavily influenced by metal of the late 1970s and early 1980s , citing groups like Motörhead , Venom , Bathory and Black Sabbath as influences. In terms of text, the band deals with topics such as the rejection of religion, sex, literature , myths and legends . According to Stephan Möller from metal.de, the band on Stormcoven play a mixture of heavy and doom metal. In addition, influences from rock and epic metal can be heard.
