The Mouse Cove ( English for Mouse Bay ) is an approximately 300 m long side bay of Queen Maud Bay on the south coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located on the north side of the Núñez Peninsula . The wreckage of a sloop is on its bank.
Scientists from the British Antarctic Survey named it after a colony of house mice that lived here at the time .
