The Núñez Peninsula is a rocky and comparatively ice-free peninsula of 8 km in length, which lies between Queen Maud Bay and Jossac Bight on the south coast of South Georgia and ends at the southwestern branch in Cape Núñez .
The peninsula was already known to the first whalers to call at South Georgia. The South Georgia Survey conducted a geodetic survey between 1951 and 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1958 based on the naming of the cape of the same name.
