action

Sylvester the cat and his stupid red-furry friend Sam are searching for food in garbage cans when Sylvester suddenly discovers a living mouse. He follows her to a boathouse , but soon has to hide the captured mouse from Sam, who in turn tries to hide the mouse from New Year's Eve. After they both caught each other trying, they finally put the mouse in a jug, which they close. Both want to eat the mouse together the next day.

The two tomcats' attempts to steal the mouse continue during the night. After all, Sylvester wants to use a trick to tie Sam to a motorboat and let him go out to sea so that he can eat the mouse in peace. Sam manages in time to attach the rope to Sylvester's tail. However, since both shake hands at the decisive moment, they are pulled out to sea together and finally land on an island-like elevation. They are now at war with each other while the mouse, sitting on the jug, rows past and Moonlight Bay sings.
