Moussia von Wattenwyl (born Vorpe from Sonceboz , born November 6, 1971 in Biel / Bienne ; resident in Bern ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Life

Moussia von Wattenwyl grew up in Sombeval in the Bernese Jura . She is a qualified secondary school teacher with a degree in environmental science and taught chemistry, physics and biology until 2016. She has been working at Espace découverte Energie since 2016 as a coordinator for the promotion of the energy and tourism region of the Bernese Jura. Since her training as a dry mason in Conthey in 2016, she has also been working as a freelance dry mason in the Bernese Jura region. She has two teenage children and lives in Tramelan .

politics

Moussia von Wattenwyl entered politics late. After the resignation of Pierre Amstutz , she was able to move up to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern in 2017 and was re-elected in the 2018 elections. She has been a substitute member of the Green Group in the Education Commission since 2017 and has also been a member of the Building, Energy, Transport and Spatial Planning Commission since 2018. Since 2017, she has also been a member of the education commission committees for the interparliamentary commissions of the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland, the Western Switzerland School Agreement, the BEJUNE University of Education and the University of Arc Bern-Jura-Neuchâtel.

In 2018 von Wattenwyl was elected to the regional parliament Conseil du Jura bernois .

Moussia von Wattenwyl is Vice President of the Bernese Cantonal Fisheries Association (BKFV) and member of the board of the Bern Health Foundation .
