Muhammad Nawaz ( Urdu محمد نواز; * August 15, 1924 in Budhial , Chakwal District , Punjab ; † May 13, 2004 ibid) was a Pakistani javelin thrower .

In 1954 he won the Asian Games in Manila and won silver at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver . At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , he finished 14th.

In 1958 he defended his title at the Asian Games in Tokyo and finished eighth in the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff . At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 he was eliminated from the qualification.

In 1962 he won silver at the Asian Games in Jakarta and came fourth at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth . Four years later he won bronze at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 .

Nawaz's personal best of 76.39 meters dates back to 1960.
