Muhammad XI. (Granada)
Muhammad XI. El Chiquito ("the tiny one") († 1454 ) was Emir of Granada from 1453 to 1454.
Muhammad XI. 1453 succeeded Muhammad IX. (1419–1453) in the Emirate of Granada . Muhammad IX had the son of Muhammad VIII . as early as 1447, when he came to power for the fourth time, he had to assure the succession to the throne.
As an emir, Muhammad XI supported himself. especially the Banigash clan . This naturally led to the opposition of the Abencerrajes , who with the support of Castile Muhammad XI. remove and enthrone Said as the new emir. When Muhammad XI. later trying to regain control of Granada, he was captured and executed with his sons in the Alhambra .
