Muhsin Khan

Muhsin Khan Mushir-ed-dowleh (* 19th century; † September 13, 1910 ) was a Persian diplomat and politician .

Life

Muhsin Khan was the son of Shaikh Kazam, a merchant in Tabriz. He entered 1848 in the Persian army one, 1855 was Secretary of second class in St. Petersburg , used from 1856 to 1857 in the Anglo-Persian War, 1858-1865 Secretary under Hasan Ali Khan Garusi and 1866 chargé d'affaires in Paris . From 1872 to 1890 he was ambassador to Istanbul . He wrote for the newspaper "Qanun" (law), which is why he was recalled from Constantinople to Tehran in 1891 . He received the title of Moshir od-Dowleh. In 1892 he served as Minister of Commerce and Justice. In November 1896 he became foreign minister and finally prime minister.
