Gustav Haydn (born August 28, 1900 in Munich , † December 2, 1995 in Passau ) was a German master tailor and a Bavarian politician.

Life

Haydn had lived in Heining near Passau since 1902 and was a member of the local council there. From 1951 to 1972 he was President of the Lower Bavaria Chamber of Crafts . From 1960 to 1977 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate as a representative of the Crafts Group . Just like the Passau publisher Hans Kapfinger and the Lower Bavarian District President Johann Riederer , he played a decisive role in establishing the University of Passau .

He was the uncle-in-law of Hans Hösl , who was mayor of Heining (before the incorporation) and mayor of the city of Passau.
