Distances to places on the Muirs Highway from Manjimup

The highway connects the South Western Highway in Manjimup with the Albany Highway in Mount Barker . The entire length of the road is only one lane per direction of travel.

The road branches off in Manjmup from the South Western Highway (R1) to the east-southeast. It runs through a sparsely populated area with extensive Karri and "Jarrah" forests.

The only larger settlement is the small, agricultural town of Rocky Gully .

Approximately in the middle of the 150 km long route, the highway leads along the north shore of Lake Muir , a small lake in Beadmore Ridge , which gave the highway its name. In Mount Barker the road reaches the Albany Highway (S30) and ends.
