The Mullitzbach (also: Mulitzbach ) is a brook in the municipality of Virgen ( Lienz district ). The Mullitzbach flows northwest of Rain into the Isel .

course

The Mullitzbach rises on the north flanks of the Scheibe and Hofspitze in the area of the Lasörlinghütte . In addition, a source stream is fed by the Gumpenlacke. The Mullitzbach flows in a north-easterly direction through the high valley of Mullitz and then reaches the alpine pastures of the Rainer Alm. North-east of the Rainer Alm, the forest cover increases significantly, first on the right, then on both banks. The Mullitzbach flows in the wooded area to the east past the Stadleralm, in the lower reaches the creek is continuously wooded until it enters the Virgental . Only shortly before the estuary were the forest areas partially cleared in favor of agricultural land.
