Multi Packaging Solutions (MPS) is a manufacturer of the packaging industry with a focus on high-quality consumer goods and pharmaceutical packaging. The seat is in Hamilton (Bermuda) and the main office in New York . It has been a subsidiary of WestRock since 2017 .
history
In 2013, Multi Packaging Solutions merged with competitor Chesapeake. While MPS was owned by Madison Dearborn Partners at the time, Chesapeake was owned by the Carlyle Group . Multi Packaging Solutions went public on the New York Stock Exchange in late 2015 . In January 2017, an agreement was reached to take over the company by the packaging manufacturer WestRock . This takeover was completed in summer 2017.

The group has 58 plants on three continents and 14 countries. It employs over 9200 people. In Germany the company has factories in Kreuzau- Stockheim , Melle , Obersulm and Stuttgart . Mainly packaging for confectionery is produced here, e.g. B. for the brands of Nestlé and Lindt . In Germany the plants have a total of 900 employees, 175 of them in Stockheim. The plants in Germany contribute around 150 million euros to consolidated sales of 1.5 billion euros. Around 900 million packages are produced annually in Stockheim alone.
