Murat Özavcı (born June 25, 1985 in Gürün ) is a Turkish football player who plays for Tavşanlı Linyitspor .

Career

Özavcı began club football in the youth of Fethiyespor and was included in the professional squad in 2002, with a professional contract. In his first season he came to five league appearances. Just one year later he switched to the then second division club Çanakkale Dardanelspor as a professional player . Here he was mostly on the bench in his first season and only made three league matches. From the second season he was regularly in the starting lineup and only spent the 2007/08 season on loan from second division side Elazığspor . At the end of the 2008/09 season, Dardanelspor rose as a relegation winner of the TFF 2nd Lig in the TFF 1st Lig . After his team missed relegation at the end of the following season, he rose with her back into the TFF 2nd Lig. In the following season, the club even rose to the TFF 3rd Lig .

After Dardanelspors relegated to the TFF 3rd Lig, Özavcı and his teammate Mesut Saray moved to the second division TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor . In the summer of 2013 he moved to the third division Alanyaspor . In the last remaining days of the 2013 summer transfer period, this change was canceled. Instead, Özavcı moved to the third division Tokatspor . After only half a season he returned to Linyitspor.
