Murat Türkkan (born August 24, 1983 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Türkkan was born in the Istanbul district of Üsküdar and started playing club football here in 1998 when Anadolu Hisari İdman Yurdu was a youth . A year later he switched to the youth of Üsküdar Anadolu SK . From summer 2002 he started his professional career at the successor club Üsküdar Anadolu 1908 SK .

After he had only made five league appearances for Üsküdar Anadolu in two years, he moved to league rivals Gebzespor in the summer of 2004 . This club quickly gained a regular place here and rose at the end of the 2005/06 season with his team as champions of the TFF 3rd Lig in the TFF 2nd Lig . After four years he left Gebzespor in the summer of 2008 and then played in succession for third division clubs Fethiyespor , Bugsaş Spor and Tarsus İdman Yurdu .

For the 2011/12 season he moved for the second time to third division Fethiyespor . Here he quickly rose to team captaincy and led the team to the playoff victory of the third division season 2012/13 and thus to promotion to the TFF 1st Lig .
