The Murciélagos FC is a football club from Guamúchil in the Mexican state of Sinaloa .

history

The franchise was launched in 2008 when the third rate Segunda División was restructured. The team started under the name Deportivo Guamúchil FC in the northwest relay of the newly created Liga de Nuevos Talentos and ended their opening season in the Apertura 2008 with a record of two wins, three draws and six defeats in the penultimate place, while the Clausura 2009 with the even balance of four wins and four defeats as well as three draws ended in seventh place.

For the coming 2009/10 season Guamúchil moved to the Liga Premier de Ascenso , where it was assigned to the North Group. The Apertura 2009 was also finished in ninth and the Clausura 2010 in eighth place. The two seasons of the following 2010/11 season each ended in seventh place.

For the 2011/12 season, the club changed its name to Murciélagos FC (German FC bats ), under which it celebrated its greatest success to date by winning the Apertura 2012. After a 1: 1 in the sold out final first leg at home in Coloso del Dique in front of 5,000 spectators against Deportivo Tepic , the "Bats" achieved a 2-1 away win in the second leg and thus their first title win. Murciélagos lost to Galeana de Morelos in the promotion final to the second-rate Ascenso MX .

In the summer of 2015, the qualification for the second division succeeded on the economic path, when the club acquired the second division license of the economically troubled CD Irapuato , so that it has been represented in the Ascenso MX since the 2015/16 season .
