Muse Hassan Sheikh Abdulle ( Somali : Muuse Xasan Sheekh Cabdulle , Arabic موسى حسن الشيخ سعيد عبد الله; born 1941), also: Musa Hassan Abdulle , is a Somali military and politician. He was one of the transitional president of Somalia and interim Speaker of Parliament of Somalia ( Federal Parliament (Somalia) ). Abdulle is Somalia's ambassador to Italy .

Life

Abdulle belongs to the Darod clan and is the nephew of Al-Sayyīd Muhammad `Abd Allaah al-Hasan (" Mad Mullah "), the leader of the former en: Dervish State . He is Sunni and is fluent in Somali, Arabic , Italian and English .

Career

Military career

After graduating from high school ( Scuola Media Superiore , 1955-1959) in Mogadishu , Abdulle joined the military (Ciidanka Xooga Soomaaliya, Arabic الجيش الصومالي) and quickly made a career. He was sent to Italy to the Accademia Militare di Modena , where he was trained from 1959 to 1961. He was among the first three Somali students to attend the military academy. He then completed his training at the Scuola Applicazione D'Arma (Military Research Institute) in Turin (61-63). Back in Somalia, he received further training as a battalion commander . From 1968 to 1970 he stayed again in Italy, at the Scuola di Guerra (War College) in Civitavecchia and in 1985 he received a scholarship to the National Defense University in Washington, DC He graduated there in 1986.

After returning to Somalia, he rose to the rank of brigadier general . In 1989 he said goodbye to the military.

Reign

Federal parliament and interim presidency

After the end of the mandate of the Transitional Government of Somalia (TFG) on August 20, 2012, when the Federal Government of Somalia was founded, Abdulle, as the oldest member of parliament, was temporarily appointed spokesman for the Federal Parliament . The founding meeting took place at Mogadishu Airport (Aden Adde International Airport) in Mogadishu. At this meeting he was also named as Acting President , whereby he took the oath of office from many members of parliament . A spokesman for the permanent parliament was elected on August 28, 2012. Abdulle's first successor thus became the former Minister for Transport and Minister for Labor and Sport Mohamed Osman Jawari .

On August 30, 2012, the federal parliament met and set up a new committee with the task of organizing the 2012 presidential elections in Somali . In the parliamentary session, which was chaired by Jawari, 15 parliamentarians were nominated and Abdulle was made chairman of the commission. The election took place on September 1, 2012 and Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was elected President.

On June 20, 2013, Abdulle was sent by the cabinet as ambassador to Italy.
