The Museo dello Sport e dell'Olimpismo (Museum of Sports and Olympism) is a public museum in the Republic of San Marino .

history

The museum was opened on May 22, 2006 in the north wing of the Olympic Stadium in the city of Serravalle by the President of the Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Sammarinese in the presence of the two heads of state of San Marino and official envoys of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), European Olympic Committee (EOC) and Comité international des Jeux méditerranéens (ICMG) inaugurated.

The museum displays collections, including sports stamps and coins, image and written documents from the first Olympic game participation in 1960 with the torch, uniforms and acts including the signed original of the official invitation of the then President of the Organizing Committee Giulio Andreotti, as well as sports equipment, such as For example the racing machines of the 125 cc class of the former vice world champion Alex De Angelis and winter sports equipment such as the two-man bobsleigh by Dino Crescentini .
