The Museum 1915-18 is an anti-war museum in the town hall in the market town of Kötschach-Mauthen in Carinthia . The museum of the Association of Friends of the Dolomites documents the mountain war of 1915–1918 in the First World War between Austria-Hungary and Italy .

The senselessness of war is shown on over 600 m² with numerous historical photos, documents, finds and exhibits, as well as replicas of alpine positions. The museum offers facilities for the disabled, a children's play area and educational programs for school classes. As a reminder for peace in Europe, the museum documents the front from the Ortler to the Isonzo and the history of the world war based on the fate of simple soldiers and the civilian population on both sides.

Plöckenpass-Kleiner Pal open-air museum

Peace trails in the Plöckenpass area near the Kleiner Pal : Since 1973 the impassable front paths have been repaired by friends of the Dolomites and made accessible to the general public as an open-air museum of the mountain war 1915–1917 with fortifications, barracks, tunnels and sentries.
