The Musson Nunatak is a pyramid-shaped and about 2100 m high nunatak in the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 16 km south of Mount Jackson on the eastern edge of the Dyer Plateau .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after the aerial photographer John Mack Musson (1943-2016) of the United States Navy , who between 1968 and 1969 on board an LC-130 Hercules of the VXE flight squadron -6 was involved in the creation of the aerial photographs required for mapping in this area.
