The Mustafa Prize is an award for science and technology of Iran .

The prestigious Mustafa Prize is awarded every two years to researchers and scholars from the member states of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The Mustafa Prize is to become an Islamic version of the Nobel Prize according to the will of the lenders . The Mustafa Prize is awarded in the four categories of Life and Medical Sciences and Technology, Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, Information and Communication Science and Technology, and All Areas of Science and Technology, and is US $ 500,000 in each category -Dollars endowed.

In 2014, Elise Auerbach referred to the award in an article in Nature and criticized the persecution of scientists in Iran. She argued that Iranian scientists are allowed to interact abroad without fear of persecution.
