Mustafa İslamoğlu

Mustafa İslamoğlu (* ´ October 28, 1960 in Develi , Kayseri , Turkey ) is a Turkish Islamic theologian and writer.

İslamoğlu attended the Islamic University Institute in Kayseri ( Kayseri Yüksek İslam Enstitüsü ) and later studied at the Shari'a Faculty of Al-Azhar University in Cairo .

Mustafa İslamoğlu was arrested twice in Turkey for his speeches and writings and spent a total of one year in prisons. The first conviction was based on Article 159 (1) of the Turkish Penal Code for "insulting Turkishness", the second on the basis of the law on criminal acts against the memory of Ataturk . The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Baden-Württemberg classifies him as an "anti-Jewish, Turkish-speaking Islamist thought leader". His most important writings include the “Advice to My Young Siblings” , which u. a. is distributed and advertised by the Muslim Youth in Germany (MJD), an organization that, according to the Hesse State Office for the Protection of the Constitution, “ adheres to the ideology of the MB ( Muslim Brotherhood ) and is regarded as their youth organization”.
