The Mutusjärvi (also Muddusjärvi , Muttusjärvi , Inari Sami : Mudusjävri , Muddusjävri ) is a lake in the municipality of Inari in the Finnish landscape of Lapland .

The lake is located about ten km northwest of Inari . The Kaamasjoki flows into the northern end of the Mutusjärvi. The Kettujoki drains the Mutusjärvi at its southern end and flows to the Juutuanjoki , a tributary of the Inarijärvi .

The lake has an area of ​​50.45 km² and is at an altitude of 146.2 m. The maximum depth is 74 m. It has a catchment area of 2215 km².

There are the following fish species in Mutusjärvi: lavaret , trout , arctic char , European grayling , perch , pike , burbot , minnow , three-spined stickleback and nine-spined stickleback .

On October 21, 1944 a Junkers Ju 52 7U + OK crashed into Mutusjärvi. In 1959 their wreckage was found.
