Fahad Mosaed Al-Muwallad ( Arabic فهد المولد, DMG Fahd al-Muwallad ; * on September 14, 1994 in Jeddah ) is a Saudi Arabian soccer player in the position of midfielder .
Career
society
Al-Muwallad began his professional career in 2011 with the Saudi Arabian first division club Ittihad FC from Jeddah . So far, Ittihad has made 126 appearances and scored 39 goals. In January 2018 he was loaned out by the Spanish first division club UD Levante as one of nine players from Saudi Arabia . A total of nine players from Saudi Arabia moved to various clubs from the Spanish Primera División and the Segunda División as part of a partnership between the Saudi Arabian and Spanish football associations . The goal of this partnership was to increase the chances of the Saudi Arabian national soccer team having a good soccer World Cup in summer 2018.
On May 8, 2018, Al-Muwallad came on for Enis Bardhi in the 80th minute at the score of 3-0 for Levante's away game against CD Leganés and thus became the first Saudi player to play in the first Spanish division. Altogether, Al-Muwallad played two short appearances in La Liga. After the World Cup, he moved back to his home club in Jeddah.
National team
Al-Muwallad played a total of six times for the Saudi U-20 national team between 2011 and 2015, scoring four goals. In 2015, he was nominated for the U-23 team, where he scored one goal in three games. In 2012 he was appointed to the squad of the Saudi Arabian national team for the first time , but remained without commitment. Al-Muwallad made his first appearance in the 2-1 success in the qualifying game for the 2015 Asian Cup on February 6, 2013 against the People's Republic of China, in which he himself contributed a goal.
Fahad Al-Muwallad was appointed by national coach Juan Antonio Pizzi to the squad for the World Cup in Russia in summer 2018 . After being substituted on in the first game against Russia, Al-Muwallad played in the final two group matches against Uruguay and Egypt and scored a goal in the 2-1 win against the African participant.
Al-Muwallad has played a total of 48 senior internationals so far and has scored ten times for his country.
