Mykolas Lasinskas

Mykolas Lasinskas (born December 1, 1916 in Moscow , Russia) is a Lithuanian engineer, hydrotechnician and river researcher, professor .

Life

In 1948 Mykolas Lasinskas graduated from the Kauno universitetas in Kaunas . In 1972 he received his PhD in geography . In 1980 he became a member of the Lietuvos mokslų akademija , now he is emeritus (2018). From 1948 to 1957 he taught at the Kauno universitetas (now VDU) and Kauno politechnikos institutas , from 1950 to 1955 and 1974 to 1984 at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija . From 1976 he was a professor. From 1957 to 1994 he worked at the research institute Lietuvos energetikos institutas , where he headed the hydrology department until 1987 .
