Myn M. Hoffman

Myn M. Hoffman (born May 12, 1883 in Bradford , Illinois , †  January 5, 1951 in Bronxville , New York ) was Superintendent of the Navy Nurse Corps of the US Navy .

In 1915, Hoffman graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Denver , Colorado as a nurse . Hoffman joined the US Navy Nurse Corps in 1917 and was named Chief Nurse in 1919.

During and after World War I , Hoffman served in various posts in the Washington, DC area. In 1934, Hoffman was named deputy superintendent of the US Navy Nurse Corps and a year later he was appointed fourth superintendent. In October 1938, Hoffman was retired as Lieutenant Commander .

Myn M. Hoffman died on January 5, 1951 at the age of 68 in Bronxville, New York State.
