Núber Cano (born September 6, 1935 ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Left defender Cano was a member of Peñarol's squad in the Primera División from 1960 to 1963 and again in 1965 , which was supervised by coaches Roberto Scarone , Bela Guttman and Roque Máspoli in those years . In 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1965 he won four national championship titles with the Aurinegros . Also in 1960 and 1961, Cano secured his club the trophy in his time yet as Copa Campeones de América designated Copa Libertadores . Cano was not used in both finals against Paraguay's representative Club Olimpia in 1960 . In the finals of the following year against Palmeiras São Paulo , however, he completed both games. Another title win in 1961 is the World Cup . Cano played both the return and play-off against Benfica Lisbon . 1962 was for Peñarol again to participate in the finals of the Copa Campeones de América , in which the Uruguayan club but this time had to give the Brazilian representative FC Santos the trophy. Cano started playing in all three finals.
