NAALE

The NAALE Elite Academy (Heb. נעל"ה) is a program of the Israeli government and the Sochnut (Jewish Agency for Israel) is supported. It allows Jewish youth from the Diaspora , the university degree ( High School ) in Israel store. Since Starting this work, more than 10,000 teenagers who entered Israel without their parents participated in this program.

The word "NAALE" is a Hebrew short form for "young people immigrate before their parents" (Hebrew: נוער עולה לפני ההורים).

General information

During 1992-1993, the Ministry of Education, with the support of the Israeli government, began implementing the NAALE program. The main reason for this was numerous petitions from Jewish parents in the Commonwealth of Independent States asking the government of Israel to let their children study there.

The Israeli government decided in the following two years, 1994–1995, to transfer responsibility for this program to the Sochnut and Aliyat ha-Noar .

At the end of 1995, just a few days before his death, Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin returned responsibility to the Ministry of Education.

The program was then continued by the Association of Promotion of Education in Israel , which was set up on the initiative of the Minister of Education .

The management of NAALE consists of the following departments: education, department for communication with foreign countries ( Russia , Western Europe , Latin America , France , English-speaking countries), medical department, administration, and a department responsible for the integration of students.

The management of NAALE is responsible for the reception of the students and supports the schools, the students and their parents. The ads and publicity for attracting new students is carried out by the Sochnut agent. In addition, the Sochnut is responsible for the preparation of the young people for their first stay in Israel, the arrival modalities and communication with the young people's families in their home country.
