Nachal Sorek ( Hebrew מוֹעָצָה אֲזוֹרִית נַחַל שׂוֹרֵק) is an Israeli regional administration in the central district of Israel . It was founded in 1952 and is located on the Sorek River of the same name . The administrative headquarters are in Jad Binjamin.

economy

In 2010, the Israeli Cabinet approved the construction of the world's largest water treatment and desalination plant in the area of ​​the regional administration . This was put into operation in 2013 and has an output of 150 m³ using the reverse osmosis process . In June 2018 it was decided to build another plant in Sorek, the sixth in total.
